Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is an “altered state of awareness”, during which the conscious, critical, analytical,
mind, is slipped to the side allowing easier access to the unconscious mind. When the hypnotic state is induced,
the individual begins to look inwards rather than outwards, thus allowing the inner or subconscious mind to predominate.
The Ego or Self then becomes more receptive to ideas and suggestions.
The aim of hypnotherapy is to increase the confidence level of the individual and to teach him or her an
attitude of hope in the context of mastery. The person learns to be an active participant on their own behalf,
to focus on creating a solution rather than on enduring a problem, and to discover and use neglected resources
to effect the changes sought.
Hypnotherapy can be used as part of ongoing counselling, or can be used independently to address specific issues.
Esther has used hypnotherapy for many years,
but over that time, she has created her own way of working in individual sessions, using hypnotherapy as part of them.
Hypnotherapy doesn’t work with a “click of the fingers”, there is no “miracle cure”.
When “miracles” do happen, it’s because the person is at point in life,
where they are completely ready to change, in which case, the individual sessions can trigger the change.
